ShowTime with Ramblin’ Rita™ Storytelling Shows
ShowTime with Ramblin’ Rita™ offers interactive storytelling shows designed for grades K-5 & families. Our captivating cowgirl brings a wide range of tales to life, each told with a unique Texas twist. Volunteers from the audience will join Ramblin’ Rita on stage, helping her act out two tales complete with costumes and props. Every 45-minute ShowTime program is edutainment at its finest, offering fun, facts, music, and laughs as Ramblin’ Rita utilizes story, song, and audience participation to engage and inspire. This is no one-woman show. These are stories brought to life by the next generation of storytellers, with just a little help from a talkative Texan.
This production is a perfect fit for library, museum, and summer camp audiences.

Once Upon a Time in the Wild West
Fairytales aren’t just for folks with castles, crowns, and knights in shining armor. Ramblin’ Rita’s got some Texas-size fairy tales of her own. Join Rita as she chases down some ornery grub and finds an unexpected happily-ever-after out on the open plains. It’s not your average “Once upon a time,” this is Once Upon a Time in the Wild West!
Frontier Fables
Aesop ain’t got nothin’ on Ramblin’ Rita’s Frontier Fables! Help Rita and her animal friends learn that slow and steady really does win the race, and pitchin’ in tastes sweeter in the end. You may know the morals, but these retold fables have got more kick than a pot of Armadilly Chili!
Seaside Stories
Join Ramblin’ Rita for some fun in the sun with her Seaside Stories. This storytelling cowgirl may spend most of her time riding across deserts and plains, but she loves to kick up her heels by the Gulf Coast. Help Rita as she searches for pirate treasure and sends some tiny turtles back out to sea.
Way Back When
Ramblin’ Rita takes us Way Back When for stories all about how the Texas we know came to be. Help our cowgirl storyteller explore indigenous legends that explain the beginnings of day, night, and the four seasons. Learn about the amazing animals that walked the Lone Star State before humans.
Colors of the Lone Star State
Red, white, and blue ain’t the only colors to be found here in the Lone Star State. There are a rainbow of stories to tell about Texas’ diverse land, animals, and people. In Colors of the Lone Star State, Ramblin’ Rita takes listeners on a wild ride as her friend Pecos Bill ends a drought, and the birds of Texas decide who will be the King.

Spooky Stories
Join Ramblin’ Rita for some Spooky Stories set in the Lone Star State. While haunted houses and ghostly cattle may send a little shiver down your spine, these tales are more kooky than creepy, so gather around the campfire for a frighteningly good time!
Texas Traditions!
The holidays are a great time to celebrate with the whole family. That’s why Ramblin’ Rita invites kids from the audience to join her on stage to tell some heartwarming tales that celebrate the many holiday traditions found right here in Texas.
